The Pastor Search Committee (PSC) consists of nine ACC members who were nominated and elected by the congregation. The PSC’s mission is to prayerfully seek the Lord’s guidance to identify and bring before the congregation the strongest candidate to serve as our new pastor.
The PSC is reading two books to guide our search: When The Word Leads Your Pastoral Search and Finding a Pastor. The former is focused on prayer, promoting congregational unity, and evaluating candidates biblically. The latter is a practical step-by-step guide for the pastoral search.
Our guiding verse is Psalm 127:1: "Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain." With faith in the Lord’s leading and listening to his voice, we will develop appropriate criteria for ACC’s congregational needs, and trust that the Lord will be preparing the right pastor for us. We covet all your prayers in this process.
