Safe Families Online Training at the Church Office

March 25, 2017

9:00am – 11:30am

Category: Outreach | Coordinator:

This training is postponed and will be rescheduled.

Safe Families is a volunteer-driven ministry with the goal of keeping kids safe and families intact.

The parents that we aim to serve are often overwhelmed by their circumstances and socially isolated. ACC hopes to become their community as we form extended family-like relationships. Volunteers seek to empower, encourage, and strengthen families through mutually beneficial relationships. The hope is to reduce foster care numbers by supporting families so that stress and isolation does not lead to abuse and neglect.

There are a variety of volunteer roles to come alongside overwhelmed families. The roles are flexible and volunteers can offer support according to their skills, interests, and availability.

ACC is only just beginning to launch our partnership with SFFC.  We have a small team ready to befriend parents and children in need of a loving support system and invite them into loving community at ACC.  But we need more trained volunteers to join the team!

To this end, we will be offering the core training on Saturday, March 25 from 9-11:30AM at the church office.  A light breakfast will be served.
