AFTER 6 MONTHS...MEETING FOR WORSHIP AGAIN!
I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go to the house of the Lord!”
(Psalm 122:1)
It was thrilling to gather as a congregation for worship this past Sunday after over six months being unable to do so. I was amazed by the number of people who came to worship, and I am deeply grateful for all those who worked so hard in planning, preparation, and implementation both of the worship service as well as the live stream. We had a slight glitch with the livestream link so we apologize to those who were unable to watch the service live. Here is the link for the recorded service. This glitch should be worked out by this coming Sunday. For those that want to watch this past Sunday’s service, here is the bulletin.
We will continue to work hard to follow CDC guidelines as we gather for worship. We will also continue to provide an online version of the service for those who think it best not to attend worship physically yet.
Please pray for our church. Pray that God will keep us safe from the spread of coronavirus and that he will give us wisdom to take appropriate precautions in all our activities. Pray also for the helpers we will need to worship together. Lots of help is needed and willing servants are deeply appreciated. If you would like to help on Sundays, please reach out to Andrea Mungo, Ministry Coordinator, at admin@astoriachurch.org.
Sincerely,
Pastor David
