Additions to the ACC Ministry Team

Welcome to the Team

I am pleased to announce the addition of two part-time staff members to the ACC ministry team.

Annette Scattoni will be serving in a newly created position as Children’s Ministry Coordinator. In this role, Annette will be recruiting, training, and overseeing volunteers to work with our children’s programs from infancy through 5th grade. Annette and her family (Gianluca, Sabrina, Anna, and Serenity) have been members of ACC since 2014. She has served in the nursery, in the youth group, in the ESL program, and as a member of our diaconate. Annette brings a wealth of experience to this position, having worked with children as a public-school teacher, a home school instructor, and on staff with the children’s ministry at Redeemer Presbyterian Church. She has a master’s degree in foreign language education from New York University. Annette has a deep love for young people and a passion to see the Lord work in their lives.

Ji Hwan “JC” Cha will be serving as our Youth Ministry Coordinator. JC and his wife Erin joined ACC last year. Their son Simon was born a few months ago. JC has been serving in the youth group and leading a Community Group. A recent graduate of Reformed Theological Seminary, JC is in the process of pursuing ordination in the Presbyterian Church in America. JC is employed as a social worker at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Astoria and has a master’s degree in social work from Columbia University. JC is the product of a dynamic church youth group in Queens and has lots of experience working with young people. In his role as Youth Ministry Coordinator, JC will be actively seeking ACC members to work with him, investing their time and energy in our fantastic teens.

I am thrilled to be working alongside Annette and JC in gospel ministry. They are both wonderful additions to our team. Please keep them and their families in prayer as they take on these new responsibilities. Especially pray that many ACC members will respond to their efforts to recruit volunteers to work in these important ministries. Also, please pray for the children and young people of our church.
