NATIONAL NIGHT OUT AGAINST CRIME

August 6, 2019

5:00pm – 8:00pm

Category: Outreach | Coordinator:

On Tuesday, August 6th, 2019, from 5PM to 8PM at Astoria Park.  Every year National Night Out Against Crime is celebrated in neighborhoods across the city to highlight the importance of community groups and business associations working closely together with the New York City Police Department to help demonstrate their intolerance to crime.  The event usually focuses on crime prevention related activities in an effort to educate all who attend.  Such programs and activities include handouts, demonstrations, and activities for attendees to participate in.  This year’s event will once again offer informational tables from many reputable groups, organizations and agencies, free hot dogs cooked by 114th Precinct’s Police, free refreshments, a dunk tank, 2 pony rides, face painting and games, fire safety information, coloring books, and many other great exhibits, raffles and give-aways. In addition, there will be a special family movie night (SING!) co-sponsored by The Evangel Church starting at 8:15PM as an extension to National Night Out! All are welcome to stay and take advantage of this great opportunity!
