Further Changes to COVID Protocols

On June 15, Governor Cuomo announced the lifting of many of the COVID-19 restrictions that had been in place in New York State. Social distancing, capacity restrictions, and mask-wearing are no longer required in stores, restaurants, offices, gyms, and other places. Unvaccinated individuals are still responsible to wear masks, as suggested by the CDC.

As public health conditions change, we have been updating the safety protocols followed in worship on Sunday mornings. Beginning Sunday, July 18 we will no longer require masks or social distancing in the main floor of the sanctuary. Masks and social distancing will be required in the balcony, for those who prefer to sit there.

We praise God for the improving public health situation in our city and state. If you have questions regarding our COVID policies, please contact me at david@astoriachurch.org.
