Worrying about money

Almost everyone knows what it is like to feel anxiety about financial concerns. In Matthew 6:25-34, Jesus gives us at least seven reasons why we do not need to worry about money:(Read more)

1. Worrying about money distracts us from what is really important in life. (Life is more than food. The body is more than clothes. v. 25)

2. Worrying accomplishes nothing. (We cannot add a single hour to our lives by fussing and fretting over things. v. 27)

3. God takes care of birds and flowers, and we are much more important to him than those things.

4. Worrying about money is a symptom of a godless mindset. (It is something the pagans do. v. 32)

5. Worrying about the future keeps us from living life today. A lot of the things we worry about never actually come to pass. (v. 34)

6. God is our Father, and he knows what we need. (v. 32) Note: See John 1:12 to see how you can know that God is your Father.

7. If we seek God’s Kingdom first, he promises to take care of our needs. (v. 33)
