At Astoria Community Church, we believe that God’s purpose for each one of us is to live for his glory. Fulfilling that purpose will bring us more joy than anything else ever could. God has promised to give us everything we need to honor him. This includes our material possessions. Our possessions belong to the Lord. He has entrusted them to us to use for his glory. When we understand this, we are set free from financial fear and motivated to be generous in the use of our funds.

There are many ways you can contribute financially to Astoria Community Church (PCA).

  • You can donate stocks, which often will provide you with a double tax benefit (assuming the investment has appreciated and that you have held the stock for more than one year). By donating securities you avoid the capital gains tax faced when selling the stock and the church pays no capital gains when it sells the donated security. You should check with a tax professional before initiating any transfer of securities.
